Hello Friends,
As promised, this week we elevate our radial elements into another level. If this challenge sounds interesting to you, don't forget to watch the tutorial!
On a side note, I will go on leave for next couple weeks, so there won't be any new tutorial. And this is a good time for you to practice all skills that I show you in the past few weeks. 😉
Juicy content will keep releasing after I am back. So until then, Adios.

Want to make more expressive radial graphics?
Here’s a simple technique to build a layered, moon-like radial pattern in Figma using vector editing and radial repeats.

🎁 Grab your starter file here and follow along!
Video Tutorial is linked below.
Step 1 - Set the structure
Start with two overlapping circles
Group them, then apply Radial Repeat.
Start with 0 units

Apply radial repeat with 2 overlapping circles.
Step 2 – Prepare the base shape
Next, flatten the repeat group.
Apply transform → turns it into editable shapes
select all and Hit Enter to access vector editing mode
Use shape builder and select one of the slices — that’s your base shape

Use shape builder to select the new moon shape.
Step 3 – Increase texture
Now draw the decorative lines.
Use the Pen tool to draw curves within the slice
Place 3 lines, spaced evenly
Mirror the curves for balance
It’s all manual—but worth it.

Add three more curve lines in the shape.
Step 4 – Apply radial repeat
Apply Radial Repeat again to the grouped lines.
Start with 1 unit gap
Adjust count and shape rotation
Fine-tune spacing with pixel gap control
Aim for something that feels balanced, not crowded.

Rotate the shape to form a close loop.
Step 5 – Tada!
That’s your pattern. It’s great for large graphics, not tiny UI elements. Save it as a reusable element or blend it with gradients later.
Subtle complexity goes a long way. Let me know if you try it.

Final result of advanced graphics.
Step 6 – Explore more
Put the advanced radial graphics in your design. This helps convey abstract ideas.
2 more graphics are covered in the tutorial, don’t forget to tune in!
